When booking a vehicle you can choose between two insurance packages: the Standard Package and the Bond Saver Package. The applicable security bond amount depends upon the package selected at the point of booking the vehicle.

The security bond of the selected package will only be taken out of your credit card in the event of a damage to the vehicle, its chattels or damage to any third-party property.
In the case of a valid damage claim, the security bond amount is the maximum dollar amount (cost) which you are responsible to pay per incident. The amount(s) will be charged to the payment method used to book the vehicle. If you wish to pay the security bond with a different card than the one used for your booking, please contact customer service.
The security bond amount is payable regardless of fault. If it is then deemed that you are not at fault in the event of damage, this amount will be refunded to you.
Please note that irrespective of the selected package, the traveller's liability is not limited in those cases which are excluded in the terms and conditions or if the terms and conditions have been breached by the traveller and this causes or contributes to any damage.

Australia
SHAREaCAMPER will charge your credit/debit card an amount that is dependent on the value of the camper and the type of liability coverage you choose (see table below).

The money will be held in a secure escrow account with a third party payment provider (Stripe). Providing there is no accident or incident the bond is refunded seven (7) days after the hire finishes. It is worth noting that your bank and/or card provider may hold the money for longer before releasing it to you.
If you wish to pay the security bond with a different card than the one used for your booking, please contact customer service.
Please note that a non-refundable 3% credit card fee needs to be on-charged to you.

Germany
SHAREaCAMPER will charge a bond of 1000€ to the chosen account. The bond will be refunded seven (7) days after the booking ends if there has been no damage to the vehicle.
